October 20, 1997 Junior High (1972-1991) Paul Anthony Coletti (68) Pacific Grove Beacon, CA Oct. 24, 1997 Paul Anthony Coletti, 68, of Pebble Beach, CA, died October 20 at home after a brief illness. Born August 28, 1929, in Kemmerer, Wyoming, he lived in Pacific Grove and later, Pebble Beach for 37 years. After serving in the US Air Force, he moved to San Francisco and earned a BA in History and Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. Later he received his MA in Education from San Jose State University. He retired from the Pacific Grove Unified School District after 29 years during which time he taught at the Jr. High and High School and later, served as Principal of the Community High School. He was an active member of the St. Angela's Parish, initiating the Centering Prayer Service. He even played the flute at the 10:00 Mass every Sunday.
Salt Lake Tribune, UT October 23, 1997 Paul Anthony Coletti, 68, of Pebble Beach, California, died October 20, 1997 at home after a brief illness. Born August 28, 1929 in Kemmerer, Wyoming, he lived in Pacific Grove and later Pebble Beach for 37 years. Raised in Ogden, Utah, he also spent two years within the Seminary Program in Santa Clara, California. After serving in the US Air Force, he moved to San Francisco and earned a BA degree in History and Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. Later he received his MA degree in Education from San Jose State University. He retired from the Pacific Grove Unified School District after 29 years during which time he taught at the Junior High and High School and later served as principal of the Community High School. In 1993, he was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Patricia Ann Coletti. He is survived by his wife, Donna DeVincenzi-Coletti, Pebble Beach; a daughter, Anna Maria Spansail, Markleeville, Calif.; four sons, Mark P. Coletti, Matthew P. Coletti, Luke J. Coletti and John F. Coletti, all of the Monterey Peninsula and one granddaughter. He was an active member of the St. Angela's Parish, Pacific Grove, initiating the Centering Prayer Service, and serving in many ministries including John XXIII, RCIA and particularly the Music Ministry. He was also an Oblate of the Camaldolese Benedictine Monks. A Vigil Service will be held at St. Angela's on Wednesday, October 22, 1997 at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Angela's on Thursday, October 23, at 10 a.m. The Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Any offerings of remembrance can be made to the New Camaldoli Hermitage, Big Sur, CA 93920. |
