October 20, 1996 FACULTY (1946-1977) Hattie Odel Kirchner (77) Hattie Odel Robinson Kirchner, 77, died Oct. 20, 1996, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. A native of Liberty, Ark., she was born June 26, 1919, to Origin Commodore and Eudora Wilkes Robinson, and had lived in Reno since 1986. Mrs. Kirchner was a school teacher for 22 years, having taught business subjects at public high schools in California. She was a member of Ladies Unit of the Fleet Reserve Association and Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers sorority. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Colorado, Boulder and a master’s degree in education from Stanford University, Calif. Surviving are husband, A.G. of Reno, sister, Ethel Joyce Stubblefield of Austin, Texas; brother, O.C. Robinson Jr. of Smithville, Texas; and 15 nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sanger Cemetery, Sanger, Calif., under the direction of Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary, Reno.. |
