Jennifer Gardner Cohen, 44, a resident of Pacific Grove for most of her life, died of cancer on Sunday at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
Mrs. Cohen was born in Carmel on June 24, 1948. She was a 1966 graduate of Pacific Grove High School and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California - Santa Cruz. She was working toward a master's degree in social work at California State University - San Jose when she became ill.
She won several first-place awards in photography at the Monterey County Fair.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; her mother and stepfather, Cherie and Earl Bozlee of Pacific Grove; three brothers, David Tait of Pacific Valley, Martin Bozlee of Kirkland, Wash., and Joel Gilbert of Los Angeles; and a sister, Crissa Traynor of Mount Charleston, Nev.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Little Chapel by-the-Sea of the Paul Mortuary.
