Buff Germaine Savo
Buff Germaine Savo left this vale of tears on July 11, 2014 after a life-long struggle with melancholia. Buff lived and ended her life on her own terms.
Her younger brother Marco survives her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joan Savo, renowned artist and George Savo, beloved Pacific Grove High School teacher.
Buff shared attributes of both of her parents; she earned her degree as an elementary teacher at Simon Fraser University and was a lifelong artist, working in photography, graphic art and jewelry.
A lover of dogs and humanity, Buff leaves behind a large circle of friends from California to British Columbia. To know Buff was a rare experience; she was deeply intense, loyal in her friendships and a lifelong correspondent.
Buff was a deep thinker with a sharp wit. Her analysis of life and the human condition was penetrating, eloquent and insightful. She was free to offer advice and always supportive of those in need.
Her remains will join those of her parents. Please send photos or stories of adventures with Buff to: rememberbuffgermainesavo@gmail.com.

The Savo's were my childhood neighbors.
I am saddened to hear about her passing. George, Joan, Buffy and Marco were great neighbors. I have many positive memories of our childhood adventures.
George always had a smile on his face, Joan was an outstanding artist, Marco would climb trees with my brother and Buff was a companion.
I still vividly remember when the Ed Sullivan show was airing the Beatles first TV show. Well I was at the Savo's viewing them with the Buffy and Geoge!

Marco Savo reports that since my sister Buff Savo passed away four years ago I am the last surviving member of PGHS teacher George Savo's family.
