Montorello Rites at St. Angela’s

Rosary for Armand Patrick Montorello, Monterey Peninsula College student who was killed on his bicycle in a traffic accident Tuesday, will be recited at the Paul Mortuary at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Requiem mass will be celebrated at St. Angela’s Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, preceded by brief rites at the mortuary at 9 a.m. Burial will be in El Carmelo Cemetery. Mr. Montorello was a 1966 graduate of Pacific Grove High School. He was born Oct. 7, 1948, in Linz, Austria, and was a citizen of the United States. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Sosic, and stepfather, Zvonimir Sosic, with whom he lived in Pebble Beach. He also leaves his father, Rocco Montorello of El Paso, Texas; two brothers, Steven Montorello and Brian Sosic, both of Pebble Beach. Other survivors include paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Montorello of Amsterdam, N.Y.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Florian Morcutti of Linz; paternal stepgrandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Victor Sosic of Seaside; and his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Nate Shafer of Pacific Grove.

Services: Armand Patrick Montorello, in Monterey, February 30, 1968. Native of Linz, Austria. Age 19 years. Resident Pebble Beach 14 years. Graduate Pacific Grove High School. Son of Mrs. Elisabeth Sosic of Pebble Beach, Reece Montorello of El Paso, Texas, stepson of Evonimir Sosic and Mrs. James Montorella, Amsterdam, N.Y. Maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Florian Morcutt of Linz, Austria. Brother of Steven Montorello Pebble Beach, Brian Sosic of Pebble Beach. Also survived by paternal stepgrandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Victor Sosic of Seaside. Nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Nate Shafer, Pacific Grove. Rosary will be recited Friday, February 23, 1968 at 8 p.m. at the Paul Funeral Chapel, Pacific Grove. Requiem mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 24, 1968 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Angela’s Catholic Church preceded by brief rites at the Paul Mortuary at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in the El Carmelo Cemetery, Pacific Grove. The Paul Mortuary in charge of funeral arrangements.
