I recently retired in 2014 as an 8th grade middle school American History teacher, which is my passion.
Before I retired I traveled a lot by receiving several Fulbright-Hays fellowships to Mexico, Brazil, and New Zealand to research the indigenous peoples.
I am the mother of four adult children, three of which live in CA and the other in NYC. Right now I am the grandmother of two beautiful little ones who live with me along with their parents in my home.
I am in the process of writing my master's thesis on the Carlisle Indian Boarding School. Once my thesis is finished I expect to take some long road trips and teach at the community college level.
So far, I am loving my retirement but it doesn't seem like I have a lot of free time on my hands.
