In Memory Of Sandy McCann

Former P.G. Woman Found Dead in Sacramento County.
Sandra Ann McCann Nassie, a native of Pacific Grove, was found dead March 13 along the American River near her home in Sacramento. She was 39.
The Sacramento County Coroner's office estimated the time of death as March 6. An autopsy to determine the cause of death is pending. No foul play is suspected, said the coroner. Mrs. Nassie liked to take walks along the American River.
Mrs. Nassie, who was born Aug. 18, 1948, in Pacific Grove, attended Peninsula area schools, graduating from Pacific Grove High School and Monterey Peninsula College. She left the Peninsula area in 1970. She earned a bachelor's degree from Fresno State University and was studying for a master's degree at Sacramento State University at the time of her death.
She is survived by a son, Jasonn Nassie of Paradise; her mother, Louise McCann of Pacific Grove; her father, Donald McCann of Salinas; three sisters, Stephanie Trenner of Salinas, Sheridan Jones of Fresno and Sara Freeman of San Jose; and one brother, Todd-Richard McCann of Fresno.
Memorial services are pending.
The family suggest that any memorial contributions go to the donor's favorite charity.
