Vaughn Marjorie (Field) Hague
Vaughn M. Hague, a retired teacher and nurse, died Thursday in her Carmel home after a lengthy illness. She was 41. Born Jan. 13, 1948, in St. Paul, Minn., Mrs. Hague had lived in Carmel for 10 years.
She was also an artist. Mrs. Hague was a member of Saint John's Episcopal Church, Children's Services Center, Ladies of Carmel, Monterey History and Art Association, Junior League, Monterey Peninsula Museum, Monterey Peninsula Museum on Wheels Program and DeYoung Museum in San Francisco.
Survivors include her mother, Betty Field of Pacific Grove, her husband, John Hague of Carmel; a son, Nathaniel of Carmel; a brother, Leslie Field of Pacific Grove; and a sister, Andre Kettell of South Carolina. Memorial services will be held May 27 at 1 p.m. at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Monterey. Private burial will take place in El Carmelo Cemetery in Pacific Grove. Paul Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to Children's Services Center in Monterey.
